Still Waters

Description

Still Waters is an original watercolor painting capturing a quiet fishing boat resting on calm water beneath a misty, tree-lined shore.

The boat’s reflection stretches across the blue surface, where soft ripples gently break the mirrored shapes. In the background, hazy hills and scattered trees dissolve into layers of muted grey, violet and green, creating a sense of depth and distance.

I wanted to capture the stillness of this moment, where the boat, its reflection and the misty landscape seem to merge into a quiet, harmonious scene. The fluidity of watercolor allows the edges to soften and the atmosphere to emerge through subtle shifts of color and light.
